The European Researchers’ Night 2014 in Burgos-CENIEH

The Researchers’ Night 2014 will be held in Burgos at the Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH) (Paseo Sierra de Atapuerca, s/n).

CENIEH’s objective is to develop research in the frame of human evolution. Seven diferent scientific programs are carried out at the centre where researchers from multidisciplinary perspectives try to unveil the past of our ancestors and our planet. To reach these ambitious aims the CENIEH has anthropologists, archeologists, biologists, biochemists, chemists, geologists, historians, mathematicians, paleontologists and physicists. The entire program will be based in their skills and “energy” to develop their scientific work and daily tasks:

  • Evolution for a better future: this is the core activity of the Night and includes the most sucessful workshops and exhibitions from previous editions.
  • Researchers in the spotlight: ongoing meetings with the scientists who work at the CENIEH to learn about their work and life style as researchers.
  • Discover the CENIEH: the public will have the chance to visit the facilities and see first hand how the researchers work at the laboratories.

Other programmed activities will be the children drawing contest on site and the projection of some videos related to the research and researchers in CENIEH.
